Meet Dr Hafiz: Learning, Sharing and Supporting Recovery

Say hello to Malaysian doctor Dr Hafiz, who is currently undertaking an observership at Fresh Start. Dr Hafiz will be with Fresh Start until mid-November 2026, observing the clinic’s multidisciplinary approach to addiction treatment, including patient assessments, counselling services, relapse prevention strategies and the delivery of psychological and psychiatric support for people experiencing substance dependence.
The observership provides an opportunity for Dr Hafiz to learn about Fresh Start’s patient-centred approach, where a team of health professionals work together to support individuals throughout their recovery journey. This also encourages international knowledge sharing, allowing healthcare professionals from different backgrounds to exchange perspectives on addiction treatment and recovery services.
