Last year, Tim came to Perth from his Sydney home to be treated at Fresh Start for his heroin and alcohol addiction.

Almost a year later, Tim is clean and sober and keen to raise both awareness of addiction and donations for Fresh Start. 

“My treatment has been very successful,” he said.

“It’s been nearly 12 months now and I have become very healthy and haven’t even smoked or drank for the last 6 months.

“I originally had this procedure in 2003 at a clinic in Sydney but sadly only Perth offer this wonderful treatment now. I found out about Fresh Start online and was very keen to get there as quickly as I could,” he said.

Tim has started a GoFundMe page to raise awareness and money for Fresh Start.  He is using his mechanical skills and love of cars to restore a neglected car that he will drive around Australia, visiting AA and NA meetings to share his addiction experience and recovery journey with others.
