Fresh Start’s Northam Recovery Programme is honoured to be part of the exciting new project Humans of the Wheatbelt. This project involves the participants either being interviewed or photographed by a person with a disability to encourage inclusion for all in the Wheatbelt.

So far, 11 Fresh Start staff and residents have been interviewed for Humans of the Wheatbelt and two were fortunate enough to make it in to the book which was officially launched a couple of weeks ago. 150+ interviews have been completed, with 50 having made it into the first edition of the book.

The recent Humans of the Wheatbelt book included a function that was attended by the deputy Premier and health minister Roger Cook, the leader of the national party, Mia Davies and senator Jordan Steele-John.

The Humans of the Wheatbelt book is now available at all Wheatbelt Libraries, CRC and Shire offices across the Wheatbelt. Fresh Start is proud to work closely with the Wheatbelt Health Network and looks forward to future Humans of the Wheatbelt projects.
