Fresh Start Lodge is a short-stay accommodation for patients who are preparing for, or who have just received medical detoxification and are in need of medical and psychological support in a safe, secure environment.

Our new volunteer Caiti is bringing some sunshine into their Mondays with art sessions.                                                                                                                 

“Art and connecting with others is so helpful for many of us in times of transition and challenge” she said.

“This is what we want to give residents the opportunity to engage with. It’s a real joy to be able to spend time being creative together.”

Residents had a relaxing afternoon creating artwork, an activity that can help with anxiety and stress and change their focus for a few hours. No experience was necessary and residents were pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable the session was and how creative they could be.
