There were tears and laughter at the Bridgeley Community Centre on Thursday night as residents from the Northam Recovery Centre accepted their certificates in a joyous ceremony with family and friends. The men have completed the 26 week program which has prepared them for the next stage of their lives, with 8 out of 10 graduates already in full time work. It was an emotional evening, with one of the men sharing his very long and difficult journey and the mother of another graduate describing how desperately she had tried to help her son and how everything changed when she reached out to Fresh Start. Residents who have completed several stages of the program were also acknowledged, with the ceremony showing them recovery is possible and is within their reach. We wish all the graduates the very best for their future and our doors are always open should they need our support in the future.
